Optimization of Intelligent Lending Cabinet Based on AMO Theory

Abstract

Despite the promotion of "online lending and delivery" service in China, the public participation remains insufficient, leading to underutilized resources that fail to adequately meet user needs. Based on the three dimensions of ability, motivation and opportunity under the perspective of AMO theory, the work aims to explore how the satisfaction and service experience of intelligent lending cabinets can be improved. Firstly, the concept of AMO theory and its elements were analyzed, and the current state of research on AMO theory and self-service lending was sorted out. Python crawler technology and LDA topic model were used for user need mining. Secondly, questionnaires and interviews were used to obtain elements of individual ability, motivation and opportunity behind borrowing behavior. Finally, based on the AMO perspective, the need element model of intelligent lending cabinet design was constructed. With the intelligent lending cabinet of a city library in Jiangsu as an example, the feasibility of product design under the guidance of this design path was verified. The user satisfaction of the product was compared through the user experience evaluation and SUS usability test. The product optimization design under the guidance of this method is feasible and can effectively improve user experience satisfaction.
