Research and Practice of Conceptual art Involving Design Thinking from Products to Social Services

Abstract

The work aims to explore how conceptual art intervenes in product design and promotes the transformation of design from product development to social services. Through the analysis of the core concepts of conceptual art and the introduction of critical thinking, the study shows how conceptual art helps designers think about and respond to social, cultural and ethical issues in product design. In the study, literature analysis and case study were combined with specific product design cases to explore the application path of conceptual art in questioning the boundaries of design, stimulating innovative thinking, and realizing social services. The results showed that conceptual art not only expanded the expression dimension of product design, but also enhanced the sensitivity and sense of responsibility of designers to social issues in design practice. The study finally proposes an effective way to apply conceptual art to product design, promotes the positive impact of design at the social and cultural level, and realizes the transformation from product to social service.
