The work aims to explore the application of digital technology in the design of modular furniture systems by integrating modular design theory, regional cultural elements, and sustainable materials, and develop an innovative design approach that combines functionality, cultural expression, and the integration of digital technology, so as to address the common issues of functional limitations, weak cultural expression, and insufficient sustainability in furniture at rural exhibition halls in the Jiangnan region. First, field research was employed to systematically collect and categorize representative regional cultures of Jiangnan villages (such as Suzhou gardens, Jiangnan water towns, and bamboo weaving intangible cultural heritage) alongside sustainable bamboo materials. Second, natural and cultural elements of Jiangnan were extracted and digitally translated to establish a cultural foundation for intelligent design. Modular design principles were applied, leveraging training through three AI models. Following AHP evaluation, the optimal solution was selected to refine the design, generating modular furniture that aligns with regional characteristics. Centered on modular design and artificial intelligence technology, a tripartite coupled model design scheme which integrated AIGC, modular design, and cultural and sustainability embedding mechanisms was established. Employing an AI tool collaborative application model of "requirements analysis-creative generation-scheme refinement", modular furniture products were designed. This study integrates digital technology, regional culture, and sustainability into the modular furniture design of the Jiangnan Rural Exhibition Hall, addressing diverse functional needs such as exhibitions, rest, and communication. It provides theoretical foundations, technical support, and practical references for promoting the sustainable development of cultural tourism in Jiangnan rural areas under the backdrop of rural revitalization.
