Value Reconstruction and Design Transformation of Traditional Creation Ideas in Home Products

Abstract

The work aims to summarize the common laws and coupling mechanisms between traditional creation ideas and modern design from the perspective of user-centricity, and to provide a theoretical framework and practical verification for the application of traditional creation ideas in modern furniture design. By combining the cultural level theory with the three-level cognitive concept of emotion, the emotional connection between culture, products and users was constructed, and cultural genes with multi-dimensional characteristics were decoded and translated. The Kano model (KANO) and the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) were used to quantify the user's perception of cultural genes, and screening and evaluation were carried out around user needs to improve the accuracy of value reconstruction; Through the axiomatic design (AD), the inter-domain mapping was constructed, the abstract cultural value was transformed into concrete design parameters, and the design parameters were used to guide design innovation and improve the consistency of design transformation. In conclusion, a path model of "value reconstruction and design transformation of traditional creation ideas in furniture products" that integrates multiple research methods is proposed. This research path takes into account both cultural thinking and design thinking, promotes the two-way interaction between cultural values and design practice, and provides useful ideas and methods for building a contemporary creation paradigm with a Chinese local cultural stance
