In order to better promote the design transformation of Yangxin cloth stickers in Hubei Province and effectively solve the problem of inheritance and development through systematic sorting and visual presentation, the work aims to construct the cultural gene map of Yangxin cloth stickers based on the theory of cultural genes, and explore its design transformation in cultural and creative products. Through literature research and field investigation, the Yangxin cloth sticker patterns were traced, and then based on the gene inheritance theory in biology, the patterns were classified according to the dominant gene and recessive gene. On this basis, the material culture, social culture and spiritual culture in the cultural hierarchy theory were used to extract the structure of Yangxin cloth sticker pattern factors and construct a gene map, and the representative pattern factors were designed and transformed to match with the external contact layer, intermediate behavior layer and internal perception layer of cultural and creative products. Finally, the cultural and creative product design practice of refrigerator magnets and plush doll pendants was carried out. The results show that the cultural gene of Yangxin cloth sticker can better drive the design of intangible cultural heritage products, and it is verified that the construction of Yangxin cloth sticker pattern cultural gene map can have a positive impact on the modern design and transformation of Yangxin cloth stickers. The gene map of Yangxin cloth sticker patterns can more clearly sort out the relevant theoretical knowledge framework, comprehensively display its regional cultural characteristics, and provide new ideas for the inheritance of other intangible cultural heritage handicrafts.
