Currently, generative artificial intelligence technology is booming. In the field of artistic creativity, generative artificial intelligence may provide an innovative path for the modern translation of traditional Lingnan furniture patterns. To address the dilemmas of generational cognitive disconnection and media solidification faced by traditional patterns, the work aims to construct a multi-link and multi-path framework including pattern gene bank, algorithm engine, and output media, systematically deconstructing the explicit visual symbols and implicit cultural metaphors of Lingnan furniture patterns. By applying the case analysis method and taking the practical cases such as the light and shadow art project of Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and the silk scarf design of Guangzhou-style furniture patterns as samples, the dual enabling mechanism of generative AI in the cross-modal transformation of cultural elements and the intelligent reconstruction of context was revealed. Combined with the qualitative evaluation through previous practical measurement and analysis, AI technology, through style transfer and semantic association, could break through the limitations of the physical carriers of traditional patterns, ultimately achieving the media leap from a two-dimensional plane to a three-dimensional space and from static patterns to dynamic interactions. It was urgent to systematically construct a translation route from artistic language to data language and also necessary to set up a translation model of element decoding, context reconstruction, and value regeneration in combination with the language features of generative artificial intelligence. At the practical level, industrialization paths such as digital display of intangible cultural heritage, derivative cultural and creative design, and intelligent customized production were proposed, providing methodological support for the modern transformation of traditional craftsmanship. The research shows that generative AI not only continues the core semantics of regional cultural genes but also activates the innovative potential of traditional patterns through the human-computer collaboration mechanism, opening up a new dimension for the living inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
