Design of Home Rehabilitation Products for Alzheimer's Disease Patients

Abstract

In response to the growing demand for home rehabilitation among Alzheimer's disease patients, the work aims to propose a design method for home rehabilitation products driven by context-aware theory. Firstly, the rehabilitation needs of AD patients were thoroughly explored based on context-aware theory, and AHP was employed to determine the weight of each need. Secondly, the "Need-Function-Technology" analysis was conducted through AD theory to derive design parameters and develop design concepts. Finally, TOPSIS was applied to evaluate and optimize the design schemes. The results indicated that the proposed method, integrating context-aware theory with AHP, AD, and TOPSIS, effectively aligns with the multi-contextual needs of AD patients, significantly enhancing user experience. This study validates the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed method and provides valuable insights for the development of similar rehabilitation products.
