Design Methods for Ubiquitous Intelligent Medical Products Based on the Concept of "Patient-Provider Alignment"

Abstract

With the widespread application of intelligent technologies in the medical field, the rapid technological advancements have significantly strengthened the "medical barrier" between doctors and patients, particularly elderly patients with chronic diseases. The work aims to explore the core technological direction for helping elderly patients with chronic diseases adapt to intelligent medical methods, based on the design research and application of ubiquitous intelligent medical products, so as to bridge the technological synchronization problem between patients and doctors. An in-depth analysis was conducted to the design method of ubiquitous intelligent medical products. Through literature review and case studies, the differences in needs and interaction mechanisms between doctors and patients were analyzed, proposing a complete set of "Patient-Provider Alignment" design principles and implementation strategies and exploring how to narrow the gap in needs between doctors and patients and optimize the medical service experience through the application of ubiquitous intelligent medical products. This study, combining four design principles for ubiquitous intelligent medical products for elderly patients with chronic diseases, produced a theoretical framework and design method for "Patient-Provider Alignment". Innovative solutions were proposed to current challenges, providing theoretical reference and practical guidance for the future design of ubiquitous intelligent medical products for chronic diseases. By constructing a ubiquitous intelligent healthcare product design method based on the concept of "Patient-Provider Alignment", the study adopts ubiquitous intelligent healthcare products as a medium to bridge the gap between doctors and patients regarding technological ethics, rebuild doctor-patient trust in the digital age, and improve the quality and efficiency of intelligent healthcare for elderly patients with chronic diseases.
