Anxi Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Cultural and Creative Product Design Based on Extension Semantics and Shape Grammar

Abstract

The work aims to use the principle of extenics and shape grammar to carry out semantic extraction, quantitative analysis and graphic analysis on the traditional patterns of Anxi bamboo and rattan weaving, and transform the cultural characteristics into feature primitives, so as to carry out the design practice of Anxi bamboo and rattan weaving cultural and creative packaging. The pattern and characteristic semantic words of Anxi bamboo and rattan weaving were extracted and quantified, and the extension representation model of the pattern semantics of bamboo and rattan weaving was constructed. The semantic meaning of patterns was transformed into graphic features with diagrams, and the correlation degree between graphic semantics and cultural connotation was taken as the semantic set of bamboo and rattan weaving cultural and creative products. Finally, the shape grammar and design excellence evaluation were used to obtain the cultural and creative image, which was applied to the contemporary tea packaging and surrounding derivative products, and evaluated. The correlation between the extended semantic features and cultural connotation can not only effectively guide the innovative design practice of Anxi bamboo and rattan weaving, but also promote the development of related cultural industries.
