Design of Household Health Management Products for the Elderly from the Perspective of Multiple Intelligences

Abstract

The work aims to optimize the experience of elderly users in home-based health management products and propose a new product design path based on the theory of multiple intelligences. Taking the theory of multiple intelligences as the theoretical guidance of the user research stage, interviews, observations and other methods were used to deeply analyze the multiple intelligence performance and needs of the elderly in the product usage scenarios, establish a user journey map, and clarify the dominant intelligence of the elderly. Then, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to prioritize user needs in the field of dominant intelligence. On this basis, with accessibility as the evaluation benchmark, the comprehensive evaluation method (TOPSIS) was used to screen out the best design solution and deepen the solution. The design method of this study was feasible to achieve the acceptance of intelligent products by the elderly and improve user experience satisfaction. It accurately captured the key user needs of the elderly in the use of intelligent products, and established scientific evaluation standards for the design solution. The design path guided by the theory of multiple intelligences provides a reference idea for the design and development of elderly home-based health management products and offers a new perspective for the design of similar products.
