Abstract

From the perspective of digital humanities, cultural and creative design drives a paradigm shift in regional cultural resources—from static archival preservation toward data-driven and computational generation—through the deep reconfiguration of digital materiality. This study proposes a scenario-adaptive design strategy that transitions from unidirectional visual mapping to multidimensional scenario coupling. Such a strategy serves as a key mediating mechanism for activating cultural resources, reinforcing the material expressivity of digital content, and aligning cultural narratives with emerging patterns of cultural consumption.Methodologically, Kansei Engineering and the Semantic Differential (SD) method are employed to capture cross-scenario audience perceptions. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is then used to identify the core factors underlying cultural cognition and emotional resonance, forming the basis of a context-aware adaptive model centered on contextual recognition. At the operational level, an empathic utility model is formulated to dynamically adjust dual-channel mapping weights through Location-Based Services (LBS)-enabled context sensing. This approach is implemented and evaluated through a design prototype that supports elastic mapping and multimodal interaction across heterogeneous environments. The results indicate that real-time adjustment of underlying parameters enables digital content to adaptively reconfigure across diverse scenarios. This human-machine collaborative framework demonstrates that scenario-adaptive mechanisms can extend the perceived materiality of cultural entities within digital environments. By expanding the dimensions of interaction, this study provides a quantifiable and operational framework for the digital translation and affective design of regionally specific cultural resources.
