Innovative Design of "Spring Water and Autumn Mountain" Patterns Based on Extenics Semantics and Topological Structures

Abstract

The work aims to explore the cultural connotations embedded in the "Spring Water and Autumn Mountain" patterns, investigate their extensible semantic transformation pathways, and realize the regeneration of traditional patterns in contemporary design through innovative methodologies. Firstly, the cultural attributes and artistic characteristics of "Spring Water and Autumn Mountain" patterns were analyzed, and core imagery vocabulary was extracted through extenics semantic analysis to construct a semantic representation model, thereby clarifying the mapping intervals of cultural semantics. Secondly, key design factors were screened via quantitative calculations. Finally, topological transformations and reorganizations of pattern units were conducted based on topological structures, integrating modern minimalist design languages to generate a new pattern system that balanced traditional identity and contemporary aesthetics. Extenics semantic analysis effectively deconstructs the implicit cultural genes of "Spring Water and Autumn Mountain" patterns, transforming them into quantifiable and extensible design languages through diagrammatic thinking and topological structures. This methodology not only provides a systematic pathway for excavating cultural connotations and facilitating visual transformation of "Spring Water and Autumn Mountain" patterns but also offers theoretical support for their innovative application and dynamic inheritance in modern design, demonstrating cross-cultural and cross-media practical value in design practices.
