Cultural and Creative System Design of Guangdong Lion Dance Intangible Cultural Heritage Based on KANO Model and PSS Architecture

Abstract

Currently, homogenization and weak narrative have become prevalent challenges across China's national trend cultural and creative industry. When it comes to Guangdong Lion Dance, its apparent focus on physical creation over cultural planning stems from path dependence rooted in the supply chain of traditional manufacturing and a breakdown in the logic of dynamic inheritance. As a living culture that integrates martial arts and dance and emphasizes situational interaction, the essence of Lion Dance can hardly be conveyed by flat static products. Moreover, the fragmented industrial chain fails to underpin the creation of immersive in-depth experiences. SWOT analysis was used to analyze the industry ecosystem and establish a transformation strategy from single products to a service system. User journey mapping (UJM) was used to identify experience gaps. The KJ method and the KANO model were combined to quantify and classify user emotional needs, accurately anchoring design priorities. A blueprint for Lion Dance IP services is constructed, encompassing pre-service interest stimulation, immersive service experience, and post-service emotional continuation. Design practice demonstrates that service design can effectively integrate discrete intangible cultural heritage resources. By transforming cultural and creative products into service touchpoints, it achieves a shift from "physical functional consumption" to"cultural meaning experience", providing an innovative path for the systematic revitalization of traditional intangible cultural heritage.
