Design of Lingnan Digital Comic Strip APP Based on KANO-AHP in the Gestalt Perspective

Abstract

The work aims to extract the visual element features of the covers of Lingnan comic strips and analyze the current research status of the digitalization of the comic strip art, so as to explore the integration of Gestalt psychology into the transformation of visual and interactive needs for reading Lingnan digital comic strips, improve the reading experience of Lingnan comic strip users, and provide a new perspective reference for the art of Lingnan comic strips. The user needs of the Lingnan Digital Comic Strip APP users were studied by applying the Gestalt psychology design principles and the "KANO-AHP" qualitative and quantitative method, and a design model of "perception - demand - design" for the user needs of the Lingnan Digital Comic Strip APP was constructed. Based on the KANO model set of users' reading visual needs, the corresponding attributes of the design needs were summarized according to the Better-Worse coefficient. By using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model, the weight values of each need and the comprehensive ranking were calculated. Based on the ranking of the need weights, the design model of the Lingnan Comic Strip APP was obtained. The seven design principles of Gestalt psychology were integrated into the visual design of the Lingnan Digital Comic Strip APP. The essential type, expectation type and excitement type in its KANO model were matched with the weight ranking results of AHP and applied to the design practice of the Lingnan Digital Comic Strip APP. The Gestalt psychology design principles, combined with qualitative and quantitative research, are applied to the design of the Lingnan Comic Strip APP, effectively enhancing the visual experience and interactive experience design of digital comic strip reading, and providing a practical and feasible path for the cultural dissemination of Lingnan comic strip art.
