Extraction of Hongshan Jade Culture Genes and Product Design Translation Based on AHP-FCE

Abstract

In response to the lack of innovation in the cultural and creative design of Hongshan jade artifacts, the work aims to explore the extraction of cultural factors and design translation approaches based on cultural gene theory, so as to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of prehistoric material cultural heritage. First, archaeological reports, academic documents and museum collections were comprehensively collected to establish a cultural gene pedigree of Hongshan jade that included both explicit and implicit genes. Then, the weights of various gene factors were determined via the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and a quantitative evaluation was conducted combined with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to screen highly representative and adaptable cultural factors. On this basis, corresponding design principles were formulated and multi-scenario product design practices were implemented. As a result, translational design schemes combining cultural authenticity and modern applicability were proposed, and their feasibility was verified through user evaluation. This study constructs a research framework of "gene excavation-quantitative screening-factor translation-design evaluation", which realizes the contemporary translation of Hongshan jade cultural genes and provides methodological support for the innovative design of prehistoric cultural heritage.
