Cultural Factor Extraction and Derivative Design of Chu-style Lacquerware Coupled with Scientific and Technological Restoration of Cultural Relics

Abstract

The work aims to explore the path of coupling the scientific and technological restoration of cultural relics with the derivative design of Chu-style lacquerware and take the pig-shaped wine container lacquer box unearthed from the Chu Tomb of Tianxingguan as the prototype to extract the cultural factors of traditional lacquerware and carry out derivative product design practice. By using the information representation of scientific and technological restoration of cultural relics, the cultural factors such as the shape, pattern and color of Chu-style lacquerware were extracted. Through the algorithm of data evaluation based on the analytic hierarchy process, the creative mode and knowledge system were captured. A mechanism system for the intervention of scientific and technological restoration of cultural relics in the inheritance of Chu-style lacquerware design is constructed and verified with practical cases, providing a reference for theoretical research and design innovation in the cross-field of traditional craftsmanship.
