Artistic Conception Design of Intelligent Light-environment Home Products Driven by Intelligent Technology

Abstract

The work aims to explore the generative mechanisms and theoretical models for the artistic conception design of intelligent light-environment home products driven by intelligent technology, address the challenge of balancing instrumental rationality and poetic value in product design during the intelligent era, and provide a methodological framework for intelligent product design rooted in the theory of aesthetic conception within traditional Chinese culture. Drawing on multidisciplinary theoretical resources regarding aesthetic conception and integrating research on multiple design practice cases by the "Dao Wu Studio" team across the three dimensions of functional intelligence, interactive intelligence, and connected intelligence, the core pathways and hierarchical models through which intelligent technology empowered the generation of aesthetic conception were extracted. Through inductive analysis of practical cases, it was proposed that intelligent technologies could effectively stimulate the perception of artistic conception through dynamism, interactivity, and connectivity, and a five-tier model for artistic conception design of products was constructed, encompassing the foundational, driving, constructive, experiential, and psychological layers. Intelligent technologies offer new potential pathways for artistic conception design of intelligent light-environment home products, but these must be further integrated with the core principles of product design. At the same time, it is necessary to remain vigilant against the tendency for embodied experiences to weaken due to imperceptible interactions. In the future, the validity of the model can be further verified and the design methodology can be refined through user-centered empirical research.
