The work aims to help designers choose design strategies to intervene in user behaviors and reduce the environmental impact of product use from the source, so as to deal with the non-environmentally friendly behaviors during product use. In this study, a structured literature review method was used to sort out the literature, and the grounded theory was applied to extract and classify relevant categories that affected the sustainable behavior design strategy. Then, an interpretive structure model was used to summarize the correlations among the genera. With the support of the Protege ontology development tool, an applicability evaluation model of sustainable behavior design strategies was constructed, and the effectiveness of the model was verified by a scenic trash can design case. The ontology model proposed in this study can help designers choose appropriate behavior design strategies, provide support for designers to develop effective sustainable behavior design, and promote the change of user behaviors.
