目的 研究桂林抗战期刊封面中木刻版画的媒介实践与革命视觉建构机制,揭示其对左翼文艺“政治美学化”实践的理论意义及当代启示。方法 基于桂林战时期刊档案与期刊封面木刻图像分析,以媒介建构理论为核心,融合传播学的媒介物质性与符号政治经济学范式,构建“技术—符号—媒介”三维分析框架,揭示木刻版画如何通过期刊封面的物质生产、符号编码与跨媒介传播,主动建构期刊封面的革命视觉。结果 木刻版画在桂林抗战期刊封面设计中的媒介实践,最终实现了期刊封面革命视觉的媒介建构。结论 木刻作为桂林抗战期刊封面的核心视觉,通过物质性与符号系统的互构,将期刊封面转化为“政治美学化”的意识形态装置,重构了工农兵的视觉主体性。它的媒介实践为左翼文艺提供了“艺术即战斗”的历史范式与核心逻辑,同时阐述了木刻精神对于当代视觉设计实践的启示和价值。
Abstract
The work aims to study the media practice and revolutionary visual construction mechanism of woodcut prints on the covers of Guilin's anti-Japanese war periodicals, and reveal their theoretical significance and contemporary implications for the "political aestheticization" practice of left-wing literature and art. Based on the analysis of periodical archives and woodcut images on the covers of Guilin's war periodicals, the media construction theory was taken as the core and the paradigms of media materiality and symbolic political economy in communication studies were integrated to construct a three-dimensional analytical framework of "technology-symbol-media", revealing how woodcut prints actively constructed the revolutionary visual on periodical covers through material production, symbolic coding, and cross-media dissemination. The media practice of woodcut prints in the cover design of Guilin's anti-Japanese war periodicals ultimately achieved the media construction of the revolutionary visual on periodical covers. As the core visual on the covers of Guilin's anti-Japanese war periodicals, the woodcut, through the mutual construction of materiality and symbolic systems, transforms the periodical covers into ideological devices of "political aestheticization", reconstructing the visual subjectivity of workers, peasants, and soldiers. Its media practice provides a historical paradigm and core logic of "art as combat" for left-wing literature and art, and also expounds the enlightenment and value of the woodcut spirit for contemporary visual design practice.
